Greyfriars Kirk is located in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built in 1620 and is said to be the most haunted cemetery on the planet. The cemetery's claim to fame is the tale of Greyfriars Bobby, a Skye terrier, whom after his master died guarded his grave for fourteen years.

Disney released a film about Bobby's story in 1961, entitled Greyfriars Bobby.
Tom Riddle is also buried in the churchyard, Jk Rowling is said to have found a lot of inspiration from the graves here including, the character names McGonagall and Moody.

The real Tom Riddle was a captain who died in Trinidad in 1802 at the age of 25.
The Mackenzie Poltergeist is said to be the spirit of a man named Sir George Mackenzie, a Scottish lawyer. Mackenzie tortured Covenanter prisoners of war on behalf of George the 2nd at Greyfriars Church, overall Mackenzie was responsible for the death of 18,000 people.

(Sir George MacKenzie)
300 years on in 1998 after MacKenzie's death, a homeless man broke into his tomb on a stormy night seeking shelter, he fell through the floor of the tomb and into a plauge pit, the homeless man was never heard of again. The next day a woman was found lying near Mackenzie's tomb unconsious with brusies round her neck. It is said that, that night the homless man fell to his doom in the plauge pit an angry sprit was awoken. Over 500 attacks have been reported since then and the legend of the MacKenzie Poltergeist was born.
Mr. Colin Grant a Exorcist tried to dispell the evil from Greyfriers Church, however he was unsucsessful as the sprit was too evil for him. He was later found dead of a suspected heart attack. Was this the first killing of the MacKenzie Poltergeist? And will it be the last?.
