5. Raleigh Rimmel, Jack and Percy Fawcett

Lieutenant Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett (Born 1867) his eldest son Jack (Born 1903) and Jack's friend Raleigh Rimmel (Born 1902) disappeared in the Brazilian jungle in 1925 while searching for the Lost City of Z, also known as Paititi. No trace of them has ever been found, and Percy's wife never stopped looking for her husband and son until her death in 1954. The popular theory is that they met their deaths at the hands of local tribesmen or disease, I like to think though that they made it to the city and lived the rest of their lives there.

4. The Ninth Legion

The disappearance of The Ninth Legion has puzzled historians for generations, five thousand Roman troops vanished during the second centaury around the Scottish borders. No trace of the legion has ever been found . The area in which the legion disappeared is very remote and the climate is very unpredictable. I believe the Ninth Legion became lost due to the adverse weather and succumbed to exposure.

3. The Beaumont Children

Three Australian siblings Jane aged 9, Arnna aged 7 and Grant aged 4 vanished into thin air from the Glenelg beach. Theories surrounding their disappearance include murder by a child killer or that they became buried in an accident. 2. Peter Winston

Peter born in 1958 was a champion chess player. He mysteriously disappeared when he was 20 years old in 1978. Following several losses Peter left his possessions behind at his home and vanished during a severe storm. Peter was reportedly suffering from severe depression, so the most likely theory is that he took his own life. Peter has been missing 42 years.

1. Alfred Beilhartz

Alfred was born in in 1934, he vanished without a trace at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, in 1938 he was only 4. He was hiking with his parents when he fell behind and was never seen again. Alfred's father believes that he was abducted however I feel that he fell into an inaccessible place and died. He has been missing 81 years.
