9/11 Fact: 9/11 was not the first attack on the World Trade Centre, A bombing in 1993 killed six people.


31. Alex Filipov (1931-2001) Aged 70



Alex was an electrical engineer, who is remembered fondly by his son. He was also a boy scout leader and little league baseball coach he delighted in helping children.


32. Carol Flyzik (1961-2001) Aged 40



Carol was known as a patient stepmother, she was on a business trip when she was murdered on 9/11. Her stepchild was quoted as saying " You don't know what you've got till its gone" and this is very true.


33. Paul Friedman (1956-2001) Aged 45



Paul was a consultant for the company Emergence Consulting. He was a shy, kind man who loved problem solving. He had recently adopted a Korean child, his son Rocky.


34. Karleton D.B. Fyfe (1970-2001) Aged 31



Karleton was a senior analyst at the company John Hancock, he was known for his impressions of the Actor Steve Martin and he left behind a one year old son.


35.Peter Gay (1947-2001) Aged 54



Peter was a Raytheon Co an vice president of operations for electronic systems based in Andover, Massachusetts. He had worked for Raytheon for more than 28 years. He enjoyed boating and was a devoted churchgoer, he leaves behind his rather large family.


36. Linda George (1974-2001) Aged 27



Linda was a buyer for TJX an off price retailer, she was engaged to her boyfriend Jeff whom she had been dating for several years, her wedding was set for the following month when she died on 9/11.


37.Edmund Glazer (1960-2001) Aged 41



Edmund was the chief financial officer and vice president of finance and administration of MRV Communications. Edmund was known as a calming, logical man who was a problem solver. He called his wife to let her know he would call her again when he landed upon boarding flight 11, and stated that everything was normal.


38. Lisa Fenn Gordonstien (1960-2001) Aged 41



Lisa worked in the clothing industry, prior to boarding the plane she woke her two children at home to kiss them goodbye which her husband is thankful for. Prayers were said for her at the local Jewish temple in the wake of her death.


39. Paige Farley Hackel (1955-2001) Aged 46



Paige was on the flight with her friend and her friend's 4 year old daughter, they were going to attend a meeting and then take the child to Disneyland. Paige was a spiritual advisor and homemaker and leaves behind her husband of eight years.


40. Peter Hashem (1961-2001) Aged 40



Peter was a senior software engineering manager, he left behind his two sons and is fondly remembered at his local church where he was a regular parishioner.
