Fact: Only two dogs survived the sinking by sitting in their owner's laps.

21. Miss Erna Alexandria Andersson (1895-?) 3rd Class Passenger - Lifeboat D

( I could not locate an image of Erna or her grave, she is one of what is known as the Titanic Disappeared, certain passengers who Titanic researchers cannot find any records of later life for. The above image shows the sleeping arrangements in third class, where Erna would have slept)

22. Miss Cornelia Theodosia Andrews (1849-1913) 1st Class Passenger - Lifeboat 10

Cornelia was on the Titanic with her sister and her niece, on the night of the sinking Cornelia was reading when the ship struck the iceberg. Cornelia did not believe the stewards who told her everything was fine, so she grabbed her sister and niece and got them all lifebelts, and headed to the boat deck. Cornelia never married and died less than a year after the sinking of Pneumonia at the age of 65.

23. Mr. Charles Edward Andrews (1893-1961) Titanic Crew - Lifeboat 16

Charles was a Saloon Steward on the ship attending to Second Class passengers along with his cousin. After the sinking Charles signed on to work upon the Olympic, he worked throughout both of the world wars and later severed on the Queen Mary and Elizabeth as a masseuse, Turkish bath attendant, swimming instructor, and steward. He married and had two children dying at the age of 67.

24. Mrs. Florence Agnes Angle (1876-1969) 2nd Class Passenger - Lifeboat 11

(The Crematorium in Coventry where Florence is Interred)

Florence was asleep when the ship struck the iceberg, her husband woke her up and told her to get dressed, getting to the boat deck she got separated from her husband and the last she saw of him he was waving at her from the boat deck. He perished in the disaster and his body was never found. In later life Florence continued to practice as a nurse, in 1961 she was horrified to learn that a newspaper had reported the death of the last Titanic Survivor, she marched down to the offices to assure them this was not the case and she was a survivor too!

Florence died aged 93.

25. Mrs. Charlotte Appleton (1858-1924) 1st Class Passenger - Lifeboat 2

During the sinking Charlotte and her two sisters were on the boat deck, they all made it to the rescue ship Carpathia. In later life, Charlotte continued to live in New York passing away at the age of 65.

26. Mr. Ernest Edward Archer (1876-1917) Titanic Crew - Lifeboat 16

Ernest was an Able Seaman on the ship. On the night of the sinking, he was asleep, he was jolted awake and raced to the forward boat deck and found it covered in chunks of ice. He helped fill lifeboats with passengers and then jumped into lifeboat 16, rowing away from the sinking ship he claimed to hear large explosions. In later life he continued to work at sea during WW1, he then started suffering the effects of TB, likely from exposure during the sinking, and died at the young age of 41, he is buried in an unmarked grave.

27. Mrs. Selma Augusta Emilia Asplund (1873-1964) 3rd Class Passenger - Lifeboat 15

Selma and two of her children were rescued from the ship, sadly her husband and four other children died. In later life, a collection was started for Selma and her remaining children. She died on the 52nd Anniversary of the sinking of an intestinal obstruction at the age of 90.

28. Mr. Edvin Rojj Felix Asplund (1909-1983) 3rd Class Passenger - Lifeboat 15

Edvin was only one of two surviving children of Selma Asplund, the rest of his siblings and father perished in the disaster. Edvin died unmarried of Pneumonia at the age of 73.

29. Miss. Lillian Gertrude Asplund (1906-2006) 3rd Class Passenger - Lifeboat 15

Lillian survived the disaster along with her brother and mum, sadly the rest of her family perished. Lillian was the last survivor to die with actual memories of being there, she remembered being put on a lifeboat. After the sinking Lillian took on various secretarial roles, Lillian never married or had any children, she enjoyed gardening and eating pizza, she refused to ever discuss the disaster and died at the age of 99.

30. Mr. Johan Charles Asplund (1889-1943) 3rd Class Passenger - Lifeboat 13

Johan, who was no relation to Selma and her family, was travelling with his friend Einer. They were both awoken by the collision with the iceberg.
